Are there any shops in Petford?
No. Petford is a very small community of a few houses and a railway siding. There are no shops. The closest shops for groceries, fuel and alcohol are Dimbulah or Chillagoe.
Is the road to Petford sealed?
Yes, it’s bitumen all the way from Mareeba.
Do you have credit/debit card facilities?
For now we are not set up for credit/debit cards. We accept cash or a bank transfer.
Are dogs allowed?
Small house dogs are welcome but must remain on leads when outside. We treasure our wildlife. Contact us for more information.
Is it a good place for kids?
Yes. We encourage you to bring their bikes because there is plenty of safe space for them to ride around here. And they will love the visiting Rufus Bettongs in the early evenings.
Is there mobile reception in Petford?
Only if your provider uses Telstra. We have satellite wifi.
